Slow Cooker Barbecued Chicken Thighs

Enjoy some slow-cooker goodnes with a hint of Summer no matter the season. Broil the chicken pieces for a few minutes to balance the flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken thighs
  • sea salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with sea salt and pepper on both sides and place on a broiler pan.
  2. Set oven rack 4-5 inches from the heating element.
  3. Broil on each side for about 5 minutes.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together barbecue sauce, honey and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Add chicken to the slow cooker and pour the sauce mixture over the chicken pieces, stirring to coat.
  6. Cook on low for 4-5 hours.
