Slow Cooker Beer Brisket
The hops in the beer will make this brisket amazingly tender without adding a "beer" taste to the meat. You can use a non-alcoholic variety and achieve the same result. This can be prepared in the oven or in a crock pot.
Ingredients
- 1 3-4 pound beef brisket, trimmed
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- salt & pepper to taste
- 1 large sweet onion, thinly sliced
- 1 bottle beer
Instructions
- Rub minced garlic, salt and pepper into the meat.
- Cover the surface of the brisket with the sliced onions.
- Pour the beer over the brisket and onions.
- Cook on high in a crock pot for 6-7 hours or in a 325 degree oven (covered with foil in a baking dish) for 4-5 hours.
