Slow Cooker Baked Beans
Fix-it-and-forget-it side dishes. What's not to love? You can experiment with this dish, adding diced ham or changing up some of the spices to make it your own.
Ingredients
- 2 cups dried navy beans
- 6 cups water
- ½ cup finely chopped onion
- 3 strips bacon, finely chopped
- ½ cup molasses
- ½ cup maple syrup
- ¼ tsp. cloves
- ¼ tsp. ground ginger
- ¼ cup tomato paste
- 1 tsp. sea salt
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker.
- Cook on low for 8 hours, slightly venting the lid for the last 30 minutes so that the liquids can concentrate.
