Ham and Cheese Pockets
If you don't eat pork, substitute turkey, chicken, or roast beef. Crescent rolls make this a quick-fix meal. Add a side of Broccoli Salad or Balsamic Slaw and some fruit and you have a great dinner on the table.
Ingredients
- 2 pkgs. crescent roll dough (sheets work great for this recipe)
- 1 pound thin-sliced ham
- 8 slices cheddar or Swiss cheese
- 3 Tbsp. mustard (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- Open the crescent rolls and cut each sheet of dough into four pieces.
- Spread mustard on one half of each piece, then place 2 ounces of ham and 1 slice of cheese on top of that.
- Fold the other half over and pinch the edges to seal.
- Place pockets on an ungreased cookie sheet or baking stone.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the crust is nicely browned.
