Garlic Parmesan Wings
Wings are an American staple. There are restaurants dedicated to them, and they come in all flavors and seasonings. These use a combination of olive oil and butter; you get the health benefits of the olive oil and the taste of butter. These are baked instead of fried, and my family loves them.
Ingredients
- 12 chicken wings cut into segments (discard the tips)
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp. garlic powder or granulated garlic
- ½ tsp. sea salt
- 1 tsp. onion powder or granulated onion
- ¼ tsp. pepper
- ½ cup butter
- ½ cup olive oil
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Line a cookie sheet with foil.
- Place the flour, garlic powder, sea salt, onion powder and pepper in a gallon sized reclosable bag and shake to combine.
- Add the wing segments, a few at a time and shake to coat.
- Place wings on cookie sheet and refrigerate for 60-90 minutes.
- In a microwave safe bowl, melt butter.
- Add olive oil and ½ cup parmesan cheese.
- Whisk together until combined.
- Dip the wings into the butter mixture, coating completely.
- Place on foil-lined cookie sheet and bake at 400 for 25 minutes.
- Turn wings over and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
- When wings are finished, remove from oven and sprinkle remaining ¼ cup parmesan cheese over wings and serve.
