Forgotten Cookies
My future brother-in-law introduced me to these cookies in college. A little bit cookie, a little bit candy, they are easy to make and are great for a light dessert after a big meal. It's also gives you something to do with extra egg whites if you don't feel like saving them for an omlette.
Ingredients
- 2 egg whites
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl with mixer on high, beat egg whites and cream of tartar untill stiff peaks form.
- Slow down the mixer and gradually add the sugar.
- Fold in chocolate chips by hand.
- Drop cookies by teaspoon onto a well-greased cookie sheet.
- Place cookies into a preheated 275 degree oven.
- Turn off the oven and allow cookies to dry for 3-4 hours.
